Director of Deployment Services

This position is located in State College, PA and will be an onsite position.

The Director of Deployment Services is a leadership role, overseeing Project Services, Field Engineering, Production, and Procurement to ensure successful execution of company objectives. This position requires a leader with operational expertise to align departmental efforts with organizational goals.

This role requires a leader who understands the company’s strategic goals and objectives and can effectively lead the execution of the day-to-day work. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential to foster transparency and teamwork across teams and stakeholders both internal and external to ensure objectives are met and supply chain issues are managed. The Director will develop and implement processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Working closely with the Director team and department leads, this role sets priorities, establishes performance metrics, and addresses challenges proactively to drive measurable results. With a focus on operational oversight and process optimization, the Director ensures the department supports the company’s mission and long-term growth through a culture of excellence and accountability.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Oversight: Manage teams within Project Services, Field Engineering, Production, and Procurement. Align departmental efforts with organizational goals to drive successful execution of company objectives. Works with our vendors to address supply chain issues and ensure a consistent flow of material to meet project needs. Provides support, guidance, and mentoring to the Deployment Services team. Identifies training needs and supports employee career growth.
  • Team Execution: Provide hands-on involvement in operational oversight and process optimization. Develop and implement tactics, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity. Enhance cost-effectiveness while ensuring high-quality outcomes. Establish clear performance metrics and address challenges proactively. Monitor and refine departmental operational processes to meet quality and performance standards. Drive initiatives that support long-term growth and sustainability within the organization.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Foster cross-organizational transparency and teamwork to ensure operational effectiveness and that teams and stakeholders are kept aware of objectives. Work closely with the Director team to ensure services support the company objectives. Partner with department leads to set priorities and maintain alignment with objectives.
  • Culture: Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on accountability, and continuous improvement. Promote innovation and problem-solving to enhance team capabilities. Ensure the department consistently delivers measurable values aligned with company goals.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Tracks operational performance by establishing KPIs, and providing analytical data mined from company tools required make decisions and implement corrective actions where needed, and keeping the leadership team updated on adherence to company goals.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Includes overseeing day-day operations of the department including day-day task management, resource allocation, approving weekly time-entries, and ensuring efficient departmental coordination, and conducting performance evaluations and developing growth plans for direct reports.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant field required, Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven track record of leading teams and achieving organizational goals required
  • Project management experience and industry knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with external vendors
