SIT Engineer I

SIT Engineer I provides engineering support for the configuration and testing of technologies for project success. The SIT Engineer will assist the system engineer with documenting test plans and procedures as well as executing tests and analyzing and documenting results. The position will support the deployment of Avail products, including interacting with customers.

The SIT Engineer I work closely with the project manager, cross-functional teams, and the System Engineer. They are ultimately responsible for configuration and testing and must gain an understanding of the systems, including interdependencies. The position will research system requirements and communicate effectively with peer engineering team members to assimilate an understanding of the system as a whole. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and must be proactive in their goal-oriented approach.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure requirements compliance, functionality, usability, and quality of systems software and hardware delivered to end users
  • Configure customer-specific test environments and configuration parameters to support testing activities
  • Develop testing requirements, test plans, test cases, and test database scripts to ensure proper execution of the software at both the unit and system levels
  • Works with Project team to ensure adherence to cost and schedule
  • Develop and design system configurations and documentation for deployment of Avail systems
  • Create processes and procedures that improve the efficiency and operations of Avail systems
  • Ability to travel and to work at a customer’s facility and provide direction to team members and interface to customer
  • Provide technical inputs and analysis of system functionality to project team during design, testing, deployment, and system monitoring (live) phase

Skills:

  • Strong technical experience in the setup and configuration of servers, workstations, and networks with the ability to design these networks to optimize performance
  • Ability to guide team in testing, analyzing and evaluating systems to identify issues, improve performance and ease deployment
  • Excellent communication skills with team members and customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience deploying ERP Systems is preferred

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Information Systems
  • 3+ years relevant work experience preferred
