State College, PA — March 27^th 2018 — Centre Hall native, Theresa Heiser, leads an out of the ordinary life. Along with being a writer, a pastor, a producer, a graphic designer, a musician and her county’s deputy registrar, she is also the voice behind the second most famous saying on the Penn State campus: “Stop Requested.” Theresa has been the voice for the CATA buses for almost 30 years, working closely with Avail Technologies to integrate the voice you hear with what actions the bus, rider or driver are taking.

Twice a year, Theresa re-records her voice recordings as to give the most accurate information on all 71 CATA buses in the State College Area. But her voice is heard through more than just Happy Valley. Through Avail, Heiser’s voice has carried to multiple Avail customers in Florida, California and most of the transit agencies in PA.
