Business Manager, OEM Bus Manufacturer
The Business Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the OEM (Bus Manufacturers) operations. Responsibilities include sales forecasting, quoting, customer relations and communications, P&L and COGS management, project planning and management, communicating and coordinating team deliverables, process adherence, resource and subcontractor planning, and escalating issues through a resolution that may impact project timelines.
The Business Manager is multifaceted and is the internal and external point of contact for OEM operations. The position ensures overall customer satisfaction relative to bus builds and acts as the escalation point for both the customers and internal personnel. The Business Manager has no direct reports but collaborates with cross-functional teams on deliverables.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall success of the OEM business unit including achieving revenue targets, customer satisfaction, and day-to-day operations

Takes ownership and accountability for unit operations and performance

Manages the P&L of the business unit including revenue, expenses, COGS, and profitability

Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

Identifies and pursues business opportunities to drive growth and expansion of the business unit’s market share

Develops and implements plans to improve operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction

Manages opportunities and projects using the ERP system for all key business processes and planning

Works in partnership with the customer and internal teams to define project plans

Defines and plans internal and external resources required to fulfill project needs and works with internal teams to secure required resources

Negotiates subcontract agreements with outside vendors for supplying resources and/or services as required

Prepares reports for senior management regarding the status of deliverables, milestones, and profitability

Ensures all technical issues, schedule issues, and costs are addressed in a timely manner

Coordinates reoccurring meetings to keep the customer and internal teams in sync with status of business operations as well as challenges that might delay deliverables

Prioritizes tasks and directs internal OEM team on assignments

Ensures all aspects of project plans and milestones are updated and accurate

Ability to make tough decisions when necessary and to defend those decisions when required
Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

5+ years of previous experience in a similar role
